Should I Replace All of My Windows at Once?

Replacing a single old window can certainly meet your needs depending on the context. However, if you have sufficient financial flexibility, you may want to consider replacing multiple windows at once. This can improve both your aesthetics and energy efficiency in the long term, and can help you avoid having to replace your other windows one-by-one in the near future.

What Should I Expect During Window Installation?

As your team moves forward with your new window installation and replacement, you can expect to see the following process.

To expedite the process of replacing your old windows, you can remove window treatments such as shades and blinds before your team arrives to give us easy access, as well as any ornaments or decorations on the windows, ledges, and sills.
Determine with your team how much space they will need to operate inside and outside your home for each window. Indoors, you may need to move some furnishings away from the window. Outside, your team may need to use ladders in gardens or over bushes to reach the window spaces.
Decide with your team which doors will be used for access to the home and which procedures you feel most comfortable with.
For safety’s sake, arrange to keep pets and young children secured and away from the work area at all times.
If possible, try to plan your window installation and replacement during good weather, as you’ll want to avoid having rainwater enter the interior of your home as much as possible.
Ask your crew if your furnishings should be covered during the window installation process. Likewise, we’ll be happy to let you know ahead of time how the cleanup process works after the job is finished!
